　　It is reported that ten big cities in China are being ranked among the top twenty cities with the highest pollution index in the world. This means it is high time we did something to bring the situation under control.

　　Many factors are contributing to the deteriorating situation: industrial wastes pumped into the air, the lakes and rivers; a increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the widespread use of plastic bags etc.

　　To my view, stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to check pollution. Industries that release wastes without permission should be heavily fined. Cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. And the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. What's more, the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people's mind.

　　If everybody works toward a common goal of making the environment better, we can create a cleaner and lovelier world for us and for the coming generation.

　　Pollution has been a serious problem for a certain time around the world. There are many causes for it. Transportation is the main factor of pollution. When the waste gas from cars is released, the air is polluted. People breathing in the polluted air can develop respiratory disease. Another factor is that people throw their garbage everywhere.

　　All kinds of garbage not only spoil the splendid environment, but also cause environmental pollution. What's more, industrial pollution also deserves our attention. Wastewater from factories is poured into rivers and this causes water pollution. As a consequence, the greenhouse effect becomes a problem which needs our immediate caution and how to solve is urgent all over the world.

　　At present, some measures have been taken to prevernt. For example, people classify the garbage and some is recycled after being collected. People are also encouraged to use paper products instead of plastic products because we know that our living condition will be worse if we keep ignoring this problem. And I believe we can prevent pollution if everyone makes the efforts.

　　Nowadays we have enjoyed an increasingly prosperous life in the wake of enormous social and economic development. But at the same time, we forget that the consequence brought about by rapid economic development. For instance,greenhouse effect,dust storm,haze.

　　As society develops, people are attaching much importance to deal with the relationship between economic development and environmental.

　　Economic development is seemingly more important,the country develops much faster and better that it creates enormous job opportunities, improves living conditions and increases government revenues. However, the environment is becoming worse and worse.In order to protect the environment which we depends on, something must be done.

　　First and the foremost, we are expected to use public transportations instead of private cars that emit a large amount of exhaust gas. what’s more, we can plant more trees to absorb carbon dioxide and build an environment-friendly society. Last but not least, it is surely necessary to complete relevant laws and regulations.

　　We should remember that our future depends upon what we do right now.
